The first TigerTurf Challenger artificial grass pitch was unveiled at the Westway Sports Centre in London's North Kensington on October 19th 2004.  This dual purpose Hockey and Football pitch has now been in use regularly for more than 18 months and is proving to be a real winner with both players and coaches.

TigerTurf Challenger is a mid pile texturised polyethylene monofilament carpet which is filled with regular recycled rubber and dressed with sand.  This provides the ideal combination of moisture retention and bounce control characteristics required for both Hockey and Football.  Furthermore, it meets FIH, FA and FIFA 1 Star test requirements, putting it well ahead of the performance levels of sand filled multi-use surfaces favoured by schools and clubs in the past.
