A New Generation of Products from TigerTurf
03/03/2008TigerTurf have today announced a cutting edge products range for 2008, reinforcing their position as pioneers in the synthetic turf market.
Underpinning the new range will be an exclusive profiled S&C yarn resulting in unparalleled pile recovery, a must for delivering consistent play and feel characteristics.
The inclusion of the new yarn will drive sales of TigerTurf’s Total Soccer and Total Rugby products, rewarding players with the feeling of a 'lush' field under foot.
Both products will deliver an array of benefits:-
Total Soccer will allow the ball to sit correctly on the surface as a result of the new yarn, enhancing passability and performance. Total Rugby will offer an exclusive backing system strengthening the surface to enable high level rugby training, including scrummaging to take place with no damage to the fibre.
TigerTurf have also introduced 3 new surfaces for tennis - Rally, Advantage & Volley to help tennis clubs deliver a court for all seasons and conditions. The tennis range will give clubs the choice for the first time to opt for a synthetic version of natural clay without the heavy maintenance costs traditionally associated. Low maintenance surfaces with top level playing characteristics will be a must for tennis clubs of the future and TigerTurf hope to play a significant part in delivering surfaces for players of all abilities.
For education, after much research and development, TigerTurf have established a multi purpose product range to satisfy all curriculum needs:
• Challenger - Hockey and Football
• Academy - Football and Rugby
• Evolution - Hockey, Tennis and Netball
The 2008 range is launched on the back of the success of TigerTurf WETT (Water Efficient TigerTurf) system, designed specifically for hockey and offering players of all abilities the perfect surface to perform their skills. The dense monofilament polyethylene fibres offer a unique inbuilt ‘Wet Feel’ which provides the perfect playing surface – wet or dry.
WETT has been developed for top level hockey use. Premiership Hockey Club Cannock has recently installed a TigerTurf WETT surface and they have been delighted with its play characteristics.
WETT dressed has been developed as a suitable funding option for schools, colleges and community sports clubs. Using the same exclusive yarn, the surface incorporates a sand dressing, enabling play without the need for watering the pitch. As some confusion has arisen over the product name; WETT Dressed has been reborn as Evolution.
Imperial College has recently installed an Evolution pitch at their prestigious sports grounds at Harlington.
Neil Mosley, Head of Sport Imperial, said:
“This pioneering new TigerTurf surface is a welcome addition to our sports facilities. Designed specifically with the needs of the hockey player in mind, the pitch has provided Harlington with a hockey facility to be proud of.â€
TigerTurf are consistently delivering new revolutionary yarns and backing systems to help satisfy the ever increasing demands of sport. With many satisfied TigerTurf customers, the business continues to grow from strength to strength proving an ability to get it right season after season.
