Children flock to London's new WWT adventure area

There's more fun for children this summer at the new 'explore' adventure area at the WWT London Wetland Centre. The new site incorporates a hybrid of synthetic and natural landscaping. For children with an adventurous streak, the Wetland Centre, situated in southwest London, is the perfect place to visit. TigerTurf and SSP, an approved installer of TigerTurf Play and Landscape products, have been called in to surface London's first wetland themed adventure area for children.
The 'explore' adventure area, officially opened by BBC's Really Wild Show presenter, Steve Backshall, incorporates blue and green TigerTurf MT24 artificial grass, laid over a ProPlay shockpad system. The surface gives a critical fall height of up to 3metres, ensuring child safety is maximised as they take a well deserved break to let off steam and let their imaginations run riot.
Simon Rose, Centre Developments Officer for the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, is full of praise for the new TigerTurf surface, "We are delighted with the new 'Explore' adventure area and have received very positive feedback from children and parents. The green grass looks very natural, fitting in with the environment at the WWT, whilst the bright blue grass, designed as a water feature, makes the adventure area very exciting for children and adults alike. Additionally, come rain or shine, this excellent new facility will always be open to the public to enjoy."
TigerTurf manufacture a wide range of innovative synthetic grass surfaces for sports, play and landscaping applications.
