TigerTurf International now a FIFA Licensee

16/05/2006

One of the world's largest manufacturers of advanced synthetic turf products, TigerTurf brings its FIFA-tested football products to the sport's highest levels of play.

TigerTurf International announces its status as a Licensee to the FIFA Quality Concept.

As such the company, having met stringent quality guidelines posed by international football's governing body, can produce its approved pitches for competition and training by all levels worldwide.

"We're thrilled to bring our global innovation and manufacturing resources to the meet FIFA One- and Two-Star level specification," said Graham Vivian, TigerTurf's international director and company founder. He said the company already produces hundreds of football fields yearly, along with systems for nearly every sport on grass.

TigerTurf's inclusion at the table of the World's football governing body to further the quality standards of sports surfaces comes as no surprise. TigerTurf are recognized by international sporting bodies worldwide as a company to turn to when the very best standards of international performance are required.

"Our product line includes customized solutions to address specific customer needs and systems that have met exacting standards by FIFA, FIH, IRB, ITF and World Bowls," said Vivian. He added that the company also produces proven, standard surfaces for a wide variety of uses.

Ian Fulton, TigerTurf International's general manager, said TigerTurf has been successful at meeting governing bodies' stringent demands -- and at developing customized surfacing solutions -- because of its R&D and manufacturing strengths.

"Our technology is shared throughout our family worldwide," said Fulton, referencing TigerTurf's breadth of facilities. (TigerTurf surfaces are manufactured in nearly every continent.)

"We deliver our 'recipes' to manufacturing facilities in market, where the technology is translated into product for timely delivery and better value," he added.

TigerTurf International's first FIFA One-Star system was installed earlier this year in the UK. Hot on the heals of this success, the first FIFA Goal project in New Zealand will be supplied from TigerTurf's Auckland headquarters.
