TigerTurf Provide Platform for Nike Final

London’s Alexandra Palace was recently transformed into an impressive football arena for the National final of the Nike Show Your Five competition, thanks to TigerTurf.

TigerTurf (UK) Ltd, the UK’s leading artificial grass manufacturer, supplied their revolutionary NRG surface for the bespoke five a side pitch that was installed within 24 hours. More than 2000 teams, from five UK regions, took part in the qualifying rounds but only seven made it through to the Nike Show Your Five National Final on May 10th. Teams from London, Liverpool, Glasgow, Birmingham and Manchester battled it out for the ultimate bragging rights and the Nike Show Your Five trophy, which was presented by Arsenal and Spanish superstar, Cesc Fabregas. Fast paced five a side football is the ultimate expression of skill and it was vital for such an important final that the surface matched up to the football on show. The NRG surface proved perfect for the final and Nike’s Ben Loney, Event Coordinator, was delighted with the service provided

‘For the Final of our Nike Show Your Five campaign we wanted to create a bespoke indoor 5-a-side pitch which would provide a high performance surface for a show piece tournament in front of 1000 spectators.
