Universities Turn to TigerTurf

Leading UK Universities are making TigerTurf the surface of choice for their exciting new sports complex developments. TigerTurf’s ability to provide customised solutions that cover a range of sports have seen them deliver surfaces to two of the leading sports Universities in the UK. The University of Leeds have transformed their Weetwood sports facility with a TigerTurf 3G football pitch and an Evolution hockey pitch, which is now home to England Hockey (North).Dr. Sue Jacklin, Assistant Director of Sport & Physical Activity at the University of Leeds said; “this partnership allows athletes and coaches to hone physical fitness, develop technical and tactical expertise, review strategy and have the opportunity to relax and unwind, all on one site”. Whilst at the University of Birmingham it will be the rugby teams that are set to benefit from TigerTurf’s innovative technology.Birmingham have invested in TigerTurf’s Total Rugby surface which when tested in accordance with RFU/IRB regulation 22, achieved the highest performance standards set within the industry.
