Ryparken, Copenhagen – FIFA 2 Star

Two new TigerTurf Soccer Champion pitches at Ryparken, Copenhagen have been gratefully received by locals and now that they have passed the FIFA 2 star field tests they can impress everyone at a national level. The installation was managed by Danish partners Evergreen Sport. The project was funded by The Municipality of Copenhagen as a way to increase participation for local teams and schools and enable them to further develop their skills. This is the third Soccer Champion pitch to gain FIFA certification in the past 12 months, the other two being Rekreacji W Sieradz in Poland and Igor Netto Stadium in Russia. Soccer Champion has been a leading football product in Europe for the last 2 years and a popular choice with many customers. TigerTurf chose to combine two of their most refined fibres to create one innovative product. The S shaped yarn gives the surface structure due to the inbuilt vertical memory so even after heavy use the blades spring back preventing the turf from lying flat. The C shaped yarn sits slightly below the S shaped yarn to encapsulate the rubber infill and offer extra stability. The end result is players feel confident that they can push themselves to a limit on a surface that performs well over time.
