Pennsylvania’s Hopewell and Altoona School Districts Choose TigerTurf’s Premium Trophy Turf™ for New Athletic Fields

Hopewell High School (Aliquippa, PA) – The alma mater of Dallas Cowboys football legend Tony Dorsett and, more recently, Paul Posluszny, who currently plays for the Buffalo Bills after a stellar career at Penn State – renovated its entire stadium and wanted a product that would hold up to its active athletic program.

Don Short, athletic director for the Hopewell Area School District in Hopewell Township, did considerable research into companies and brands before choosing TigerTurf’s Trophy Turf.

For hard-working high school stadiums, it’s the perfect solution. And for Don Short at Hopewell, the challenge now is managing all the activities and all the teams that want to play on it.

“We’ve got more than 30 events lined up already, including all the varsity boys and girls soccer games,” he says. “Before, we played one or two games here – now, it’s all of them. It’s a year-round field, and people are very excited to use it.”
