City of Castle Rock Selects TigerTurf for Two Fields at Bison Park
07/18/2008TigerTurf has been selected by the city of Castle Rock (CO) to install its state-of-the-art turf system – 120,000 square feet of two-toned monofilament – for two multi-purpose fields at the brand new Bison Park in The Meadows.
The fields come just in time for the opening of the park’s neighboring Clear Sky Elementary School. The school’s original plan to install 80,000 square feet of irrigated turf could not match the synthetic fields’ cost savings of 2.5 million gallons of water per year.
Academy Sports Turf began installation for both new surfaces in April, with completion scheduled for late August. This marks the second installation Academy has done for the city with the completion of 94,000 square feet of TigerTurf at Crystal Valley Ranch Park last fall.
