New TigerTurf Featured at Forney ISD's City Bank Stadium

Students and parents will notice some major changes to City Bank Stadium when school resumes on Aug. 22 and the 2011 football season kicks off for Forney High School and North Forney High School. New turf was recently installed on the field with new end zones and the school mascot logos.

The installation of the new turf was completed by TigerTurf at no cost to the district. The turf installed is a new, updated turf product which is a more durable, safer turf than was originally installed on the field.

The community will have an opportunity to walk on the field and feel the new turf for themselves in the very near future when the FISD Athletics Department holds a construction open house and kickoff event which is scheduled for Saturday, Aug. 20.
