Project of the Year Features 1.2 Million Square Feet of TigerTurf!

The Overland Park Soccer Complex has been awarded a 2010 American Public Works Association (APWA) Public Works Project of the Year award, which encompasses 1.2 million square feet of TigerTurf!
The complex, located in Overland, Park, Kansas, is a 36 million dollar project. It was completed in fall, 2009, by the teamwork of the DLR Group, Pearce Construction, the City of Overland Park, and TigerTurf's Shawnee-based dealer McAnany Construction.

McAnany Construction along with other members of the OP construction team were selected to receive the chapter level award in the APWA's Structures Category, $25-$75 million division. This prestigious award will be presented to the company at a special National Public Works Week Luncheon May 18, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, Crown Center, in Kansas City.
The Overland Park Soccer Complex, located at 135th Street and Swizer, features 12 soccer fields, lights and scoreboards. Since opening it has hosted a wide array of national, regional and local events and this summer will be the site of the United States Youth Soccer Association's national youth soccer championships. Sixty teams and 1,000 players from throughout the nation will compete at the event.
