The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) officially inaugurated its new Trophy Turf™ at Lions Stadium in Trenton with the 12th annual Sunshine Classic High School All-Star game. More than 3,000 people attended the event, which featured the East and West squads of senior standouts from throughout the state. The East squad held on for a 19 -14 victory.
Sponsored by the Delaware Valley Chapter of the National Football Foundation and the College Hall of Fame, Inc., proceeds went to the Sunshine Foundation, a non-profit agency that grants wishes of kids with childhood diseases and illnesses, as well as to the
chapter’s scholarship fund.
Wrapping up construction just days prior to the big event, Sports Construction Group, headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, completed the first Trophy Turf™ installation in the country with a second currently underway at North Allegheny Senior High School in Pennsylvania.
