Southland Football install TigerTurf's Soccer Real MS 60 synthetic pitch

Southland Football commissioned TigerTurf, New Zealand’s only synthetic sports turf manufacturer, to produce and install the new Soccer Real MS 60 product. 

TigerTurf’s Soccer Real is a third generation football surface which is part filled with rubber and sand. Not only does this system allow play in all conditions, it improves player’s safety in terms of impact and freedom of movement as well as allowing players to perform the full range of skills as they would if playing on natural grass. 

Southland Football, frustrated with training and games being consistently disrupted by Southlands inclement weather, approved the installation of the South Island’s first standard synthetic pitch at Turnbull Thompson Park.

Southland Football is delighted with the new surface and ready to manage the potential surge in popularity likely generated from the All Whites participation in the World Cup.
